one of the reasons why bears are so successful species in terms of evolutionary biology should be their ability to do human things. human species has shaped the environment to its own needs (for better or worse) and bears, with their ability to open beehive boxes, climb fences, swing on the swings and most importantly ability to learn how to keep safe distance from human but also benefit from its overproduction. it seems to survive the anthropocene will depend on how human a species is but not quite.
